We are rebuilding. Join us.

We are rebuilding our site—live at building.seesparkbox.com. Join us, real-time, as the site evolves. It will be ugly at times. Sometimes it will be downright broken. But it will always be transparent and real. You can even check under the hood of the public repo on Github and share your ideas. Crazy, are we? Read why we're doing this.

Let’s be more than friends.

New Sparkboxers Wanted: Are You the Right Fit?

New Sparkboxers Wanted: Are You the Right Fit?

Sparkbox is looking for not one, but TWO interns! True to our Design/Develop mantra, we are seeking one Web Designer and one Web Developer to join us for the hot summer of 2011. The pay is okay, the people are pretty good, but the food is amazing.

Think you're the right fit? Prove it.

To apply, complete our internship challenge by noon on Friday, June 10, 2011:

Designers: Create a 600x400 pixel blog post image (like the one preceding this post). This image will be for a Sparkbox blog post in which each member of the Sparkbox team shares their experience working on their first website. Your image has few restrictions, but it should contain some original illustration. Facit, Housepainter, and ChunkFive are common typefaces for the Sparkbox website. Write your own headline copy.

Developers: One of the Sparkboxers put a little homepage design together for you to make functional. We want you to code this bad-boy and have fun doing it. So download the assets, write some beautiful HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, zip up the directory structure, and send it to us. Here's a few clues: we love web standards, we use jQuery (bonus points if you write a custom slider instead of using a plugin), we don't believe that a website has to look the same in every browser (but the content should be accessible), we love oreo cookies, and we make sites that look just as good on mobile devices as they do on a desktop computer. Also note: we have intentionally left out some of the site detail, so feel free to add some of your own special sauce.

Email your entries along with your resumé and website to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
