Meet Austin

06-07-16 Sparkbox

Curious, hilarious, and ready for any challenge. Meet our newest team member and Project Coordinator.

Spend a little time with Austin, and you’ll soon realize her motto is “Why not?” Not one to be held back by what is, Austin’s much more interested in what could be. And that attitude is primed to serve our customers well as she joins the team as a Project Coordinator, assisting our project managers and content strategy efforts.

Her “Why not?” attitude has led her to an amalgam of professional experiences, including freelance writing for a creative storytelling company, where she wrote for the guy who created Voicemail—yes, the voicemail; magazine publication, branding, and communications work; working with the Ryan Seacrest family to establish children’s hospital broadcast centers nationwide; and even creating a role for herself at a multi-million dollar non-profit.

Austin brings her magazine publication, freelance writing, and communications expertise to Sparkbox to help keep The Foundry running strong. And her ability to anticipate needs has her poised to serve both our team and partners. She’s also excited to help project managers with her ability to juggle multiple projects at once—she ran a business on the side while working full time and pursuing her master’s degree.

Austin loves to share her home with others hosting dinner parties, which is one of the main reasons she and her husband bought their house. “Because hosting and sharing life with others around the table is the best way to live.” If you find yourself breaking bread in Austin’s home, you’ll notice nearly every wall dressed with art—keepsakes from the places where she and her husband have traveled and lived. And you’ll soon notice a new, permanent dinner guest, as she’s about to welcome her first child in just a few months!

When this native Atlantan isn’t laughing and collaborating with Sparkboxers in the office—or around the table—she’s checking out places in her new hometown. Up next: the Serpent Mounds. If you’re looking for a buddy for a new adventure or just want a good laugh, drop Austin a note.
